Casten is either incapable of or unwilling to defend basic Constitutional rights and uphold the will of those he was elected to represent.
May 13, 2020 – It was reported today that senior Obama administration officials were among those who requested to unmask the identity of former national security adviser Michael Flynn during the presidential transition period.
The now-declassified list features notable political figures including former Vice President Joe Biden.
Illinois’ Sixth District Congressman Sean Casten has not commented on Biden’s abuse of power. In March, Casten endorsed Biden for President.
“Sean Casten has time to fire off lengthy Saturday morning Twitter rants, but he can’t call for an investigation into major abuses of power? It’s unacceptable,” said Jeanne Ives, candidate for Congress (IL-06). “Joe Biden, Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi lie to the American public, and Casten says nothing. Tara Reade brings forth credible allegations of sexual assault against Joe Biden, and Casten says nothing. His own state Democrat Party is accused of covering up rape, and Casten says nothing. This is not leadership.
“Sean Casten is deeply, bitterly and blindly partisan. He is either incapable of or unwilling to defend basic Constitutional rights and uphold the will of those he was elected to represent. The people of Illinois’ 6th district deserve far better. As a state legislator, I stood up to powerful politicians on both sides of the aisle, and worked hard to expose corruption and the scams being run on taxpayers. I will do the same in Congress.”
