“Ives has a proven track record of legislating responsibly and standing up for good policies.”
October 7, 2020 – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Jeanne Ives for Congress in Illinois Sixth District.
In endorsing Ives, Thomas Donohue, the chamber’s chief executive officer, said the Chamber “was proud to endorse Ives in efforts to promote free enterprise and job-creating policies for businesses across all regions and sectors.”
Donohue went on to state, “In difficult times, we are reminded of the importance of having leaders that understand the genius of the American system of government and free enterprise and who are willing to tackle the hard problems that confront our nation.
“As our nation faces many challenges and is collectively working to not just reopen our economy but return to growth and expanded opportunities for all Americans, we need leaders like Jeanne Ives. She has a proven track record of legislating responsibly and standing up for good policies. The U.S. Chamber is proud to endorse Jeanne and looks forward to partnering with her in the future.”
“The US Chamber is a friend to small and independent businesses across Illinois. I am honored to have their endorsement,” said Ives. “Small business owners in our communities have an incredible work ethic, and have shown enormous adaptability and resilience during this pandemic. I have been so impressed by their resolve, and I will bring that with me to Congress. Whether it is cutting through bureaucratic red tape, fighting back against over-regulation, creating local jobs or just working together to get things done, I will work to give our small business owners a fighting chance to succeed. The Chamber knows that.”
Ives adds the endorsement of the US Chamber to the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business.
